Mithril Wisdom turns 2!
It's odd to think that it was two years ago today that I decided to set up Mithril Wisdom as a way of getting through an ever increasing pile of fantasy books. Fast forward two years and I've got an even bigger pile of books, courtesy of the authors and publishers who have generously though me as deserving enough to review them. My thanks go out to all of you.
I've been missing in action for a little while, so I'll bring you up to speed:
What would you like to see instead? Video game reviews? Comic reviews? More posts about fantasy in music?
I'd love to get some feedback on what you think works and doesn't. I mean it - complete honesty is what I'm after, no matter how good/bad it may be. I can take it.
My biggest thanks also goes out to you guys for reading, commenting, reposting and generally sticking around for the past two years. You are the best friends I've never met!
I've been missing in action for a little while, so I'll bring you up to speed:
- I've been playing an awful lot of Skyrim. That game devours your time and your soul alike. And I'm loving every minute of it.
- I'm now writing mini-reviews in my work's in-house magazine. They are small, 150 word reviews of books on management, personal development etc. This means that my fiction reviewing will be a lot thinner on the ground from now on.
- I wrote a pantomime for a team building day at work. It was a 15 minute play and I got full creative control of the script. It was a hell of a lot of fun and I'd love to do it again.

Congratulations, Jamie! You started blogging shortly after I did.
ReplyDeleteExpand your reviews to games and movies! And anything else fantasy, like cool websites and music. Those would be easier to devour than books.
And I think I'm getting Skyrim for Christmas...
Happy Birthday!! Make a good wish before you blow out that candle.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I must have entered the blogosphere around the same time as you. Comics reviews would be cool.

Happy Birthday of the blog!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday :) :)
ReplyDeleteMore on fantasy in music would work well for me! but I'll be a fan whatever :)
I'm interested in pretty much anything fantasy related.
ReplyDeleteSkyrim looks incredible, but I just gave up gaming to focus on writing. I must not give in!
Happy blog birthday! basically... you write it and I'll read it... whatever that happens to be... I love a bit of whatever you're up to

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! Your work panto sounds so much fun! (My boss is taking us on sales training for our team building day - how lame!)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see where Mithril Wisdom is in another 2 years!!
Happy Blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteI think you should write about what interests you. It never hurts to mix things up. If you're interested in writing about fantasy, then a mix of fantasy-related stuff is a great idea.
Personally I love video games...
ReplyDeleteAnd oh my gosh Skyrim is terrible. TERRIBLE!! I can't pull myself away from it! I watched hubby play and thought, that looks cool, I might dip my toes in there. I'm strong, I can limit my time... HA!
ooh, video games and comic reviews are all up my alley.
ReplyDeleteYou might be interested in my CP's blog, http://gentlemenofliesure1.blogspot.com - he does an xmen review once a week and just finished up the dark phoenix saga
Congrats! I've written a couple of skits and plays for church, so I get how time consuming that can be.
ReplyDeleteFantasy in music reviews would be interesting.
Congrats on 2 years!!! Here's to many, many more. I love all the reviews that you do. You are personally responsible for 10 additions to my growing TBR pile. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogbirthday! Time flies...especially with soul sucking games! Me, blogging, art and writing are my soul hiccups, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! Wow, you have been busy~
Happy Blogiverary! I also started blogging in December which seems weird to me now... In a few days I will have been blogging for 6 years.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your blog!
ReplyDeleteI too have been completely and totally absorbed by Skyrim. What an incredible game. I am loving just taking my time and building my character. I've put nearly 100 hours in already and there are tons of places I have yet to discover, a long list of missions to complete, and a great lot of character leveling I still plan to do. Love it!
