Read the free prologue for Seven Princes by John R. Fultz

In preparation for the upcoming release of Seven Princes by John R. Fultz, Orbit Books has released the prologue for the new series for free. It's a bloody, action-filled chapter that sets a dark and violent tone for the rest of the novel. If necromancy, bloodshed and tyranny float your boat, then take a read.

An ancient necromancer slaughters the king and his court in front of the unbelieving eyes of crown prince D’zan. From that moment, his life is consumed by one thought – to regain his throne. Others will join him, some will oppose him.
In a world where men and giants fight side by side against ancient monsters and new powers, only one thing is sure – war is coming. Blood will run and princes will clash.
Seven princes. Seven destinies.
All will be legend.

Seven Princes looks to be an explosive new series. I'll be keeping my eye on this one.

What books are you looking forward to reading this year?

  1. I've not read any of his books. And I have a lot waiting for me this year on my iPad.

  2. @Alex: Seven Princes is his debut novel; that's all we're getting for now. Good luck whittling down your TBR pile (is is a pile when it's digital?)

  3. I already have a full-to-bursting Kindle, mostly just with authors I missed out on last year and need to catch up with! I'm looking forward to getting into Ian Irvine the most I think.

  4. I'm finding it impossible to read any new releases because I'm still catching up on everything that was published pre-2011 (which is ... a lot ...). This year I am hoping to crack A Song of Ice and Fire and finish off a few series I started that are finishing off in 2012!

  5. It seems to be an ongoing issue with writers; either we're six-twelve books behind, or we're frantic for the next read. This looks good, but I tend to wait for a series to conclude (or proress significantly) before reading.
