ZFF - I got eaten

It's been a crazy few days - I had a friend's wedding to go to yesterday, and I've another friend's engagement bash this weekend (all in different cities) so my Zombie Fitness Fridays post is a little late this week - I guess that means I got eaten!

Fitness has been pretty much non-existent this week besides walking everywhere (I don't drive; it's the good old Shoelace Express for me). I have a thing where I need to start the week on a good, productive note else I do nothing all week.

So, plan for next week:

# Do an evening jog (roughly 20 mins) every day I'm not in the gym.
# Hit the gym twice (three times ideally) and work on cardio and upper body strength.
# Have another session at Cardiff Castle Garrison's training to improve my combat skills.

Comment of the week this time goes to Talli Roland on last week's topic, "What survival skill could you teach to others?",

"Um... how to guzzle wine? Get us AND the zombies drunk, and I'd bet humans would whoop their butts." (that could actually work. It'd certainly level the playing field a little. Though I don't want to be the first to offer a zombie a beer).

How do you stay motivated with fitness?

  2. I have a feeling Talli is the wine master!
Walking is still really good for you. Bet you could still avoid being eaten.

  3. I missed a workout this week but made up for it shoveling snow this morning.
I think I'd offer the zombies some hard liquer, shots of something, to get them drunk quicker.

  4. Like Alex says, don't discount the walking as exercise. (If you do, that would mean I never exercise, and I don't like the sound of that!).

  5. DAH!!! i fell behind like crazy this week.
i'll join you on monday with refocusing.

right now, my main tangible motivation is that i can't fit in my pants... except for one pair. so, i'm wearing skirts most the time, which don't keep you nearly as warm when the wind is a blowing...

  6. Well, they do say that walking is good for you! It's most of what I do to exercise; though I try to jog if I get the chance.

  7. Fitness motivation is a tough one for me, but my hubby and I decidd to put a power walk into the evening schedule and it's made a world of difference.

  8. Um, I don't. At least not yet. But I do have a wedding in Mexico this November so that will be my primary motivator.

  9. My only motivation is that whatever I'm doing doesn't bore me to death. So I try to take interesting classes at the gym (yoga, martial arts) rather than having to rely on my own will to do circuits by myself, or something. Also started bouldering at a climbing wall facility - it's very hard and very very fun. One day, when I invent a neverending pot of money, I'll take up archery and swordfighting :)
