Mithril Wisdom turns three years old!

Robot birthday cake

Well, who'd have thought it. Three years ago today I dipped my toe into the world of blogging and wrote my first very brief hello as Mithril Wisdom. Seeing as this blog was created as a means to stop myself going crazy during my Master's Degree, I never thought I'd make it past the first birthday, let alone making it to two years old and now three. It's been a pretty awesome ride and I've made a lot of good friends in the process.

I've also had the pleasure of being a guest writer over at these fantastic blogs:

Graeme's Fantasy Book Review - Complementary genres - fantasy and heavy metal
Daily Dodo - Embrace the darkness: the rise of dark fantasy
In Case of Survival - The zombie survival workout: 4 workouts you need to not get eaten
Geek Banter - Top VG Countdown - #3: Ocarina of Time
Callie Leuck, Write On! - Adding culture to your fantasy world
The Cardiffian - Terry Pratchett's novel brought to life on the stage
Blogging from A to Z April Challenge - A-Z Challenge: How to wing it in style

I'm feeling great about the next 12 months, and I've got some ideas for awards, blogfests, competitions and all sorts. Here's to another great year with some great people!

Do you want a slice of birthday cake?

  1. Happy three years! We really did start our blogs at almost the same time, since I hit three years just a couple weeks ago. Need to toss you out in front of the Ninja Army soon.
    Congratulations again!

    2. I was thinking more of an Irish catholic church boarding school will vicious nuns and priests. You do have to steel yourself for zombie apocalypse :)

  3. Happy 3 years! Glad you stuck with it and are still going strong. You are among many of us who started these never thinking we would be doing it this many years later. Its fun to look back and see how time has passed. Very happy for you and wishing you many, many more years as part of this grand community.

  16. 3 years is quite an accomplishment. I admire the dedication you've put into the blog. You should do something cool, like a poll to find out your readers' favorite posts, or choose your favorite posts.

I was wondering if you might do a guest post on my blog. I'm going to take your advice and re-purpose my blog around reading and pop culture, as I can't read books fast enough to post on a daily basis.

Anyway, congrats on the blog birthday, and hopefully you have many more to come. The cake may be a lie, but I still can't decide: should I have the red cake or the blue cake?

  17. Hmm, that explains the recent surge in traffic on that guest post on my blog -- although I have to say it gets pretty steady traffic. People seem to like it! (I still love it!)

I'm working my way through my feed reader backlog, so I've just come across this; happy blogoversary!
