Today is the late Douglas Adams' 61st birthday, and to celebrate, doodle masters Google have come up with an interactive Doodle that showcases his most iconic themes.
The Doodle features your standard British cup of tea (vital for almost every aspect of your life), a towel (it's a tough galaxy. If you want to survive out there you need to know where your towel is).
You've also got a working copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy that explains how the Babelfish works, and if you hover over the elevator door at the left ... well, you'll get a surprise.
I've only read Adams' Hitchhiker's series (the BBC TV series and the movie version were good too) and I've seen the TV adaptation of his Dirk Gently series, but I love his style of humour.
Happy birthday, good sir. You will be missed.
