Minecraft can be pretty damn scary at the best of times (unless you're playing with Lego Minecraft, which isn't all that scary, to be honest). You're dropped in the middle of a vast wilderness, and if you don't find shelter and a bunch of torches before nightfall, you're greeted to this harrowing sight, which has been brought to life by the uber-talented Julia Lichty aka Ghostfire:
Not Enough Torches is the single most terrifying painting I've seen since Hands Resist Him, and I'm not sure which is scarier; the hoofed Creeper or the naked, pumpkin wielding Enderman.
It's a pretty accurate take on what Minecraft can sometimes feel like when you've been playing on Hardcore mode for three hours straight, you've still not found any coal to make a torch*, it's the dead of night and you hear the sound of spiders and zombies approaching.

*before anyone says "you can make torches using wood for charcoal", real men use coal, damnit.
