For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jamie Gibbs. I'm a native of the dark wilds of the Welsh Valleys, but I'm currently living in Cardiff. I started this blog back in 2009 as a means of lowering my ever-growing pile of unread fantasy books. In the process, I've made some awesome friends in the blogging and publishing communities, and it seems that my TBR pile is still growing despite my best efforts.

So what can you expect from Mithril Wisdom? Primarily, fantasy book reviews that are honest and balanced. You'll also notice some movie reviews, video game reviews and comic book reviews. I'm nothing if not flexible.

I post here on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The other days I keep for commenting on other blogs and catching up with news that I've missed.

As a bit of a tangent, I'm a big fan of power/folk metal music. This metal sub-genre is heavily influenced by historical and fantasy themes, and so they complement the content of this blog. Expect to see some reviews of my favourite power/folk metal albums too.
